BOARD OF EDUCATION

The special meeting of the West Franklin USD #287 Board of Education was held Thursday, May 10, 2007, at the Education Center in Pomona, Kansas.     The purpose of this meeting was for Appanoose Elementary Principal interviews. The following board members were present:   Neal Baker,  Keith Milliken, Nancy Reed, Randy Hermreck, and Mary Ann Parkin.   Administrators present were:   Board Clerk Teresa Hawkins and Mr. Dotson Bradbury, 07-08 superintendent

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Neal Baker

Neal Baker made a motion to enter executive session at 7:00 pm for 1 hour for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed.   Mr. Baker asked Mr. Dotson Bradbury to join the executive session.   Keith Milliken seconded the motion.   Motion passed 5-0

The board came out of executive session at 8:00 pm

Neal Baker made a motion to re-enter executive session at 8:02 pm for 1 hour for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed.   Mr. Baker asked Mr. Dotson Bradbury and Teresa Hawkins, board clerk, to join the executive session.   Mary Ann Parkin seconded the motion.   Motion passed 5-0

Teresa Hawkins exited the executive session at 8:07 pm

The board came out of executive session at 9:02 pm

Neal Baker made a motion to re-enter executive session at 9:03 pm for 1 hour for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed.   Mr. Baker asked Mr. Dotson Bradbury to join the executive session.   Nancy Reed seconded the motion.   Motion passed 5-0

The board came out of executive session at 10:03 pm

Neal Baker made a motion to re-enter executive session at 10:10 pm for 15 minutes for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed.   Mr. Baker asked Mr. Dotson Bradbury to join the executive session.   Randy Hermreck seconded the motion.   Motion passed 5-0

The board came out of executive session at 10:25 pm

Neal Baker made a motion to re-enter executive session at 10:25 pm for 15 minutes for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed.   Mr. Baker asked Mr. Dotson Bradbury to join the executive session.   Mary Ann Parkin seconded the motion.   Motion passed 5-0

The board came out of executive session at 10:40 pm

Keith Milliken made a motion to re-enter executive session at 10:40 pm for 10 minutes for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed.   Mr. Baker asked Mr. Dotson Bradbury to join the executive session.   Neal Baker seconded the motion.   Motion passed 5-0

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 10:51 pm.
