BOARD OF EDUCATION

BUGET HEARING REPUBLICATION

MONDAY, June 12, 2006

The special meeting of the West Franklin USD #287 Board of Education was held Monday, June 12, 2006, at the Education Center in Pomona, Kansas

Board members present were:   Neal Baker, Sheila Anderson, Janie Dillon, Randy Hermreck, Mary Ann Parkin, and Keith Milliken.   Administrators present were:   Superintendent Susan Myers, and Board Clerk Teresa Hawkins

Others present:   Virginia Cook, David Staley, and Lori Thompson

Board President, Neal Baker called the meeting to order at 6:45 pm.

Dr. Susan Myers, superintendent, explained the need to republish the budget.

Republish the Special Education budget, due to an increase in categorical aid per special education teacher, we will be receiving additional state aid money. Transfer $20,000 from the General Fund to Special Education to cover expenses.

Keith Milliken made a motion to republish the budget.   Sheila Anderson seconded the motion.   Motion passed 6-0

There being no further business, meeting was adjourned at 6:50 pm.   Neal Baker made a motion to adjourn the meeting.   Sheila Anderson seconded the motion.   Motion passed
